Before I jump in, I feel the need to confess that I don’t think I’ll be finishing The Sudden Appearance of Hope. I’ve been carrying it around for a week but haven’t picked it up once, or found myself wondering what will happen next. Life’s too short and I have at least four I’d like to get through by the end of the month.
- White Noise – Don DeLillo
- Motherless Brooklyn – Jonathan Lethem
- Breakfast of Champions – Kurt Vonnegut
- White – Bret Easton Ellis
Two of these (White Noise and Motherless Brooklyn) have been recommended by my brother. I’m going to start with Ellis’ new – and first – non-fiction book.
