Not groundbreaking, but not bad. I suppose that if I’d read it when it was first published, and was less tainted with the ‘America’s corrupt?’ message that now feels ingrained into everything, everywhere, it might have been more gripping.
In fact, some of the statistics I’d come across before in other books (e.g., the idea of corporate sponsored education). I think the thing with books like this is – what do you do?
It’s one thing to get ‘argh’ over it, but proactive ‘argh’ might achieve a better result. Right then, off to change the world.
